- To obtain your broker license,
a student must have had an active sales associate
license for one year with a broker and completed
the 45 hour post license course.
- A student may take the broker
course after 6 months holding an active license
with a broker.
- The student needs to take this
course, pass the course with a score of 70%
or more on the end-of-course exam and take the
state exam and pass the state exam with a score
of 75% or more.
- This exam process takes about
6 to 8 weeks. Students can mail the application
to Tallahassee before they take the course.
This is important because students need to shorten
the time between the Course and the State Exam.
Retention of the course material is an important
consideration regarding the student's efforts
to pass the State Exam.
-
The
process to make application to the state of
Florida for the Initial License process is
the following:
- Cooke
School recommends that, if at all possible,
as soon as the student decides to take
the broker license course, the student
make application to the
state of Florida. This can be accomplished by doing it on-line or printing the application out, having it notarized and maiingl the application in with a check. The school recommends students make the application on-line because it is faster and the student can attest to the facts without having to have the document notarized, saving time and money. Students can may the application payment on-line by credit card.
- Complete the application as honestly
as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL .
- The application fee to the state of Florida is

- This course is composed of
18 unit/Chapters. Each unit has four sections:
Reading Assignment, Interactive Exercises, Reading
Comprehensive Quiz and a Unit Exam.
- Each unit/Chapter has a Reading
Assignment. The course is designed with
learning objectives so as the student goes through
the Reading Assignment, the student knows what
the objectives are.
- Every Reading Comprehension
Quiz needs to completed with a score of 100%,
Each Unit Exam Quiz is also needed to be completed
with a minimum score of 90%. This is the
most important part of the course, because as
the student works through these modules it demonstrates
mastery of the course.
- A student can move on to the
next unit without passing the previous one but
the student will not be able to access the final
exam until everything is complete and passed.
- The final exam is a timed three
hour exam. The exam is multiple choice
with for choices. The student must score a 70%
or more on the end-of-course exam.

- Once the student purchases
this course, the student CAN NOT get a refund.
- This CD-Rom course does not
require additional textbook support and NO additional
course material is needed; however, students
can purchase additional study material from
the Cooke
Bookstore .
- The CD-Rom version of the Broker
License Course requires the student to take
the required number of hours of the program.
The student has three hours to complete
the End-of-course exam. A passing grade of 70%
is necessary for passing the course.
- If the student fails the CD-ROM
end of course exam, the student must contact
the school to advise the school that they have
failed the final exam. The student needs
to tell the school their name, valid e-mail
address and the serial number from the course
CD-Rom (it is on back of the case). The
students must print out a copy of the course
progress screen and either fax or mail to the
school. The school then notifies RECampus.
At that time RECampus will will automatically
send an e-mail to the student when the a link
will become active for the alternate exam, which
is on the 30th day from the date the student
information was entered into the school administrator
site. This alternate exam will remain
active until the student attempts the alternate
exam. The student is able to have access to
review the course material until the student
takes the end of course exam again at the 30
plus days waiting period. If the student fails
the second time the student will need to retake
the course again and the student will need to
pay the full tuition fee again.
- This course is totally web
based. The student can work through the course
at the student's convenience. Once the student
signs up for the course it is good for one year.
- This course is NOT designed
to be printed for security purposes and copyright
regulations.
- If the student plans to move
the CD-Rom from one computer to another as they
work through the course, the student should
take the On-Line course version rather than
the CD-Rom course version. On the CD-Rom
course, the data is written to the computer
hard drive. The student must complete
all course work on one computer.
- The CD-ROM Distance Learning
student CAN NOT change to an In-Class course
for course certification without paying the
full tuition fee of $395 again and completing
all the necessary hours of the In-Class course
as required by the Florida Real Estate Commission.
There is NO reciprocity of tuition fees between
the CD-ROM course and the In-class course AND
vice versa. A current In-Class course
student CAN NOT change to the CD-ROM version
without paying the full tuition fee of $395
for the CD-ROM Program.
- When completing the Course
on the CD-Rom, the student will be directed
to upload final results via an Internet Connection
to the RECampus servers. It is important that
the student keeps a record of the serial number
of the CD-Rom. This serial number is a MANDATORY
and unique identifier that facilitates the transfer
of the course information to the school. The
serial number is the 13 digit number that appears
on the back of the case in a long, white, rectangular
box under the Bar Code
- Every CD-ROM student must agree
to the following affidavit: "I certify that
I personally completed all assignments and have
not duplicated any portion of the end-of-course
examination". This certification affidavit is
incorporated into the course under 'Instructions
for the Final Exam'. The student must select
'yes' and click "enter" to take the final exam.
- Upon completing the course,
RECampus posts for Cooke Real Estate School
a daily report of student's final grade report.
The staff at Cooke reviews this report daily,
Monday through Thursday, and mails the completion
certificates to those students who have successfully
received a grade of 70% or better. Allow
three to four business days to receive this
completion certificate.
