License application process

The process to make application to the State of Florida for the Initial License process is the following:

  1. Cooke School recommends that, if at all possible, as soon as the student decides to take the sales associate license course, the student make application to the State of Florida.  This can be accomplished by doing it on-line or printing the application out, having it notarized and mailing the application in with a check. The school recommends students make the application on-line because it is faster and the student can attest to the facts without having to have the document notarized,  saving time and money. Students can make the application payment on-line by credit card.
  2. Complete the applicaion as honestly as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL.
  3. The application fee to the state is $105.
  4. Your fingerprints need to be taken at a Pearson VUE Exam Center.  Reservations are necessary for this process.  Reservations can be completed by calling Pearson VUE at 1-888-274-2020 or making reservations on the Pearson VUE's website and selecting "Fingerprint Services".   The fee for the fingerprint process is $56.25 (Promissor $14 and FDLE/FBI $42.25).  There are currently 15 Pearson VUE Exam and Fingerprints Centers in Florida
  5. Take the required course.
  6. After you have completed the course, check this link to determine if your application is approved. >APPLICATION STATUS LINK<

  11. When completing the Course on the CD-Rom, the student will be directed to upload final results via an Internet Connection to the RECampus servers. It is important that the student keeps a record of the serial number of the CD-Rom. This serial number is a MANDATORY and unique identifier that facilitates the transfer of the course information to the school. The serial number is the 13 digit number that appears on the back of the case in a long, white, rectangular box under the Bar Code.
  12. Upon completing the course, RECampus posts for Cooke Real Estate School a daily report of student's final grade report.  The staff at Cooke reviews this report daily, Monday through Thursday, and mails the completion certificates to those students who have successfully received a grade of 70% or better.  Allow three to four business days to receive this completion certificate.  When scheduling the State Exam, please allow a week between course final exam the scheduled State Exam.
