- To obtain your broker license,
a student must have had an active sales associate
license for one year with a broker and completed
the 45 hour post license course.
- A student may take the broker
course after holding an active license with
a broker for 6 months .
- The student needs to take this
course, pass the course with a score of 70%
or more on the end-of-course exam and take the
state exam and pass the state exam with a score
of 75% or more.
- This exam process takes about
6 to 8 weeks. Students can mail the application
to Tallahassee before they
take the course. This is important because students
need to shorten the time between the Course
and the State Exam. Retention of the course
material is an important consideration regarding
the student's efforts to pass the State Exam.

The
process to make application to the State of
Florida for the Initial License process is
the following:
- Cooke
School recommends that, if at all possible,
as soon as the student decides to take
the broker license course, the student
make application to the
state of Florida. This can be accomplished by doing it on-line or printing the application out, having it notarized and mailing the application in with a check. The school recommends students make the application on-line, because it is faster and the student can attest to the facts without having to have the document notarized, saving time and money. Students can make the application payment on-line by credit card.
- Complete the application as honestly
as you know how. DISCLOSE ALL .
- The broker application into
the state of Florida is
$115.
- Your fingerprints need
to be taken at a Pearson VUE Exam Center.
Reservations are necessary for this process. Reservations can be completed by calling
Pearson VUE at 1-888-204-2020 or making reservations
on the Pearson VUE website and selecting "Fingerprint Services".
The fee for the fingerprint process
is $56.25 (Pearson VUE $14 and FDLE/FBI $42.25). There are currently 15 Pearson VUE Exam and
Fingerprints Centers
in Florida .
- Take the required course.
- After you have completed

- This course is composed of
18 unit/chapters. After viewing the streaming of the courses, either on-demand or live, the student needs to complete the Session Quiz.
- The student needs to complete the quiz with a score of 80% or more. Once the student has completed the quiz successfully and e-mail will be send to the student letting them know what question they answered in error. Students are encourage to review the course and find the correct answer. If the student did not score 80% on the quiz the student will need to retake the quiz until they have successfully passed the quiz.
- A student can move onto the
next unit without passing the previous one but
the student will not be able to access the final
exam until everything is complete and passed.
- Besides the individual session quizzes on each session, the student is require 70% or higher.
- Once the quizzes and the practice exam has been successfully completed the student will be emailed a portal to take the end-of-course exam.
- The only portion of the course
that is time is the end-of-course exam.
- The final exam is a timed three
hour exam. The exam is multiple choice with
four choices. The student must score a 70% or
more on the end-of-course exam.

- Once the student purchases
this course, the student CAN NOT get a refund.
- This On-Line course does not
require additional textbook support and NO additional
course material is needed; however, students
can purchase additional study material on our
Cooke
Bookstore.
- The only portion of the course
that is timed is the end of course exam. The
student has three hours to complete the exam.
Students must complete the exam in one session.
Students will not be allowed to complete the
exam in segments. A passing grade of 70% is
necessary for passing the course.
- If the student fails the On-Line
end of course exam, the student has to wait
more than thirty day or less than one year before
the student can retake the end of course exam.
The student is able to have access to review
the course until the student takes the end of
course exam again at the 30 plus days waiting
period. If the student fails the second time
the student will need to retake the On-line
course again and the student will need to pay
the full tuition fee again.
- Once the student
signs up for the course it is good for one year.
- This course is NOT designed
to be printed for security purposes and copyright
regulations.
- The On-Line Distance Learning
student CAN NOT change to an In-Class course
for course certification without paying the
full tuition fee of $395 and completing all
the necessary hours of the In-Class course as
required by the Florida Real Estate Commission.
There is NO reciprocity of tuition fees between
the On-line course and the In-class course AND
vice versa, a current In-Class course student
CAN NOT change to the On-Line version without
paying the full tuition fee of $395 for the
On-Line Program.
- At the time of registration
for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the
student will receive an e-mail from Cooke School, verifying the student's registration.
- Every On-Line student must
agree to the following affidavit: "I certify
that I personally completed all assignments
and have not duplicated any portion of the end-of-course
examination". This certification affidavit
is incorporated into the course under 'Instructions
for the Final Exam'. The student must select
'yes' and click "enter" to take the
final exam.
- Before taking the on-line final
end-of-course exam, it is important the following
technical
information be review by the student to
eliminate as much as possible any technical
issues that might arise.
- The On-Line course can be taken
and is available up to a year from the time
of registration.
- Upon completing the course,
RECampus posts for Cooke Real Estate School
a daily report of student's final grade report for the final exam.
The staff at Cooke reviews this report daily,
Monday through Thursday, and mails the completion
certificates to those students who have successfully
received a grade of 70% or better. Allow three
to four business days to receive this completion
certificate.
