Especially Designed AMP Online Exam Prep Course for Student's Success - May 08, 2018      Archive

Cooke Real Estate School’s goal is for all our students to find success, not only on the course and the course-end-course exam, but the so important State Exam.

As noted in a blog on February 8, 2018, Cooke Real Estate School was in the process of developing an AMP state exam prep course for students that were preparing for the last hurdle of licensure, the state exam.  There are 12 states that have contracted with AMP for the state exam and we are wanting to help those students find success.  This special course is now available on the state website where AMP is the state exam provider
Currently there are two major exam providers:  PSI and Pearson VUE.  PSI purchased AMP last year, but the two companies will continue for the next couple of years providing the state exam with the outline that each company has had for years.  As a result, Cooke Real Estate School is developing a PSI state exam prep course for students preparing to take the PSI state exam.

As per Pearson VUE, we will start working on this course in July.  Pearson VUE is the provider of the real estate state exam in 15 states.  The state of Florida is one of these states, but Florida only uses Pearson VUE to provide the exam process. The DBPR’s Bureau of Education and Testing actually is responsible for developing the state exam, so the importance of a Pearson VUE exam prep would not be as helpful to students taking the state exam in Florida.

Most all states divide the state exam into two: a national exam and a state specific exam.  The national exam is on the basic principles and practices of real estate, and the state specific exam is on real estate laws and rules of the real estate regulatory body of the individual state.  To obtain a real estate license, students must pass both exams.
