My state of Montana requires 70 hours of pre-licensing classes for the pre-license course. I originally purchased a course from Xxxxxxxx. Their course consisted of 70 hours of reading an online “book” with five sample questions at the end of each section (these practice questions weren’t even computer-run multiple choice options, just a question, then “click next to see the answer”). The course was painful. I couldn’t focus long enough to retain the 70 hours of reading, so the course expired without my completing it.
So, after some online research, I purchased the Cooke School course. They shipped me books for the national portion, and each section (including my state section) had videos from multiple instructors to choose from. This was helpful when following along in the book. Each section has a practice vocabulary flashcard exercise, an interactive vocabulary test, and multiple choice quizzes requiring an 80% score to move on to the next section. This course matched my learning style much better than just reading. Yes, this course is a little more expensive than the other online classes, but if given the choice again, I would choose Cooke School first.
